Conquistó medalla de oro en el tiro de la jabalina en los Juegos Centroamericanos de 1935 y 1938…Ganó el primer partido de Mayagüez el 13 de noviembre de 1938…posee la marca de entradas lanzadas para un nativo en una temporada (242) establecida en 1938-39…líder en ponches (96) en 1938-39…primer nativo con 100+ ponches en una temporada (1939-40)…sumamente versátil, se destacó también como bateador…reforzó al equipo de Guayama, y ganó uno de los cuatro partidos, cuando conquistaron la primera Serie Mundial de la Liga Semipro celebrada en Puerto Rico en septiembre de 1939…electo al Salón de la Fama del Béisbol Profesional Puertorriqueño en el 1992 y seleccionado uno de los mejores 75 peloteros de la Liga de Béisbol Profesional de Puerto Rico en el 2013.
He won the gold medal in throwing a javelin at the Central American Games in 1935 and 1938. He won the first game in Mayagüez on November 13, 1938… Furthermore, he owns the record for innings pitched by a native in a season (242) set in 1938-39… leader in strikeouts (96) in 1938-39… First native with 100+ strikeouts in a season (1939-40)… He possessed exceptional versatility and exhibited exceptional skills as a hitter. He also contributed to the Guayama team’s success in the first World Series of the Semipro League, which was held in Puerto Rico in September 1939. He was inducted into the Puerto Rican Professional Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992 and was subsequently recognized as one of the top 75 players in the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League in 2013.
